संयुक्त राष्ट्र की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, 2023 में भारत ने एआई में निजी निवेश के मामले में 10वां स्थान प्राप्त किया है। इस सूची में भारत और चीन ऐसे दो विकासशील देश हैं, जिन्होंने इस क्षेत्र में महत्वपूर्ण निवेश किया है। यह डेटा इस बात का प्रमाण है कि भारत एआई अनुसंधान और विकास को बढ़ावा देने में अग्रणी भूमिका निभा रहा है, जिससे देश के तकनीकी और आर्थिक विकास को गति मिल रही है।

संयुक्त राष्ट्र व्यापार और विकास (यूएनसीटीएडी) की प्रौद्योगिकी और नवाचार रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, भारत 2024 में फ्रंटियर टेक्नोलॉजीज के लिए तत्परता सूचकांक में 170 देशों की सूची में 36वें स्थान पर पहुंच गया है। इससे पहले, 2022 में भारत इस सूचकांक में 48वें स्थान पर था। रिपोर्ट में यह भी उल्लेख किया गया है कि भारत, भूटान, मोरक्को, मोल्दोवा और तिमोर-लेस्ते ने स्कूली शिक्षा और कार्यशील आबादी में उच्च-कौशल रोजगार की बढ़ती भागीदारी के कारण मानव पूंजी के क्षेत्र में अपनी स्थिति में सुधार किया है।

रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस (एआई) के क्षेत्र में वैज्ञानिक ताकत के मामले में चीन, जर्मनी, भारत, यूनाइटेड किंगडम और संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका प्रमुख देशों में शामिल हैं। 2023 में एआई में निजी निवेश के लिहाज से अमेरिका 67 अरब अमेरिकी डॉलर या कुल वैश्विक निजी निवेश का 70% हिस्सा लेकर शीर्ष स्थान पर रहा। वहीं, विकासशील देशों में चीन 7.8 अरब अमेरिकी डॉलर के निवेश के साथ दूसरे स्थान पर रहा, जबकि भारत 1.4 अरब अमेरिकी डॉलर के निवेश के साथ 10वें स्थान पर रहा।
