    A joyful trekking trip near Pune turned tragic after 26-year-old Ketan Vishal Agarwal lost his life at Lohagad Fort. Ketan had travelled to the historic hill fort with his fiancée and two close friends on Thursday morning. The group planned the outing to celebrate his fiancée’s upcoming birthday before their scheduled wedding later this year. According to police officials, the accident happened around 10:30 am near a dangerous cliffside viewpoint inside the fort. Ketan reportedly moved close to the edge while taking scenic photographs overlooking the deep valley area below. Suddenly, he lost his footing during strong winds and slipped nearly 400 feet into a deep gorge instantly.

    Eyewitnesses stated that everyone had been enjoying the scenic atmosphere moments before the heartbreaking accident suddenly occurred there. His fiancée and friends reportedly screamed for help after witnessing the horrifying fall directly in front of them. Several tourists nearby immediately informed local police authorities and emergency rescue teams regarding the dangerous situation at Lohagad Fort. Police officers and members of the Shivdurg Mitra Emergency Rescue Team quickly reached the difficult location afterward. Steep rocky terrain, thick vegetation, and slippery surfaces made the rescue mission extremely challenging for emergency personnel involved there. Rescuers spent almost three hours climbing difficult sections before finally recovering Ketan’s body from the deep valley area.

    Ketan Vishal Agarwal belonged to Pune’s Gahunje area and worked within his family’s successful real estate business operations. Relatives described him as a cheerful, responsible, and ambitious young man loved deeply by family members and close friends. The tragedy became even more heartbreaking because Ketan was preparing to begin an important new chapter in life. According to family members, his wedding with his fiancée was scheduled for November later this year in Rajasthan. Both families had already completed major wedding arrangements and booked a luxurious palace venue in Udaipur for celebrations. Friends said the couple had been excitedly planning ceremonies, family gatherings, and celebrations only weeks before the devastating tragedy occurred.
