Police Probe Lift Safety And Maintenance

Although Vanitha initially received medical treatment, her condition reportedly deteriorated. She eventually succumbed to the injuries sustained in the elevator accident. Following the incident, police registered a case and began investigating the circumstances surrounding the lift malfunction. Officials are examining whether a technical fault caused the elevator to move with its doors open. They are also checking the building’s maintenance and safety inspection records.

The accident has once again raised concerns about elevator safety in residential buildings. Police are expected to determine whether the lift had undergone regular servicing and mandatory safety checks. Such incidents have highlighted the need for regular maintenance and strict safety checks for elevators.
