    SSC 2026

Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) on Friday announced the SSC 2026 examination results, with 92.02% of candidates passing the exam this year.

The board recorded a decline in the pass percentage compared to previous years. In 2025, 94.10% of students cleared the exam, while in 2024 the pass rate stood at 95.81%. Board Chairperson Trigun Kulkarni attributed the drop to stricter anti-cheating measures and enhanced CCTV surveillance at examination centres. The board also deployed staff from other institutions at centres without CCTV cameras.

However, former board head Vasant Kalpande said the two per cent decline cannot be attributed solely to the anti-cheating drive. He pointed out that factors such as meritorious students opting for other boards like CBSE or tougher question papers may also have influenced the results.
