Skoda Kodiaq RS Witnesses Record Demand, Sells Out in 6 Minutes

Skoda opened bookings for the Kodiaq RS in India and received an overwhelming response from buyers. The company announced that the first batch of 50 units sold out within just six minutes of bookings going live. As the performance-focused version of the Kodiaq SUV, the RS has generated strong interest among enthusiasts. Skoda has not yet revealed the official price of the model. Customers can reserve the SUV by paying a booking amount of Rs 3 lakh.

Skoda Kodiaq RS Witnesses Massive Demand, First 50 Units Booked in 6 Minutes

The Skoda Kodiaq RS carries the same overall shape as the standard Kodiaq but adopts several sportier design elements. The SUV features aggressive front and rear bumpers that enhance its road presence. Skoda has added gloss-black exterior accents, RS badges on the grille and tailgate, and a larger roof spoiler. The vehicle also rides on stylish 20-inch alloy wheels. Buyers can choose from four exterior shades: Magic Black, Moon White, Velvet Red, and Steel Grey.

Inside the cabin, Skoda has given the Kodiaq RS a premium all-black theme with contrasting red stitching. The dashboard, seats, and door panels feature sporty detailing that reinforces the performance-oriented character of the SUV. The front sports seats offer electric adjustment along with memory functionality. Passengers also get heating, ventilation, and massage functions for added comfort. The cabin focuses on delivering both luxury and practicality.

Skoda Kodiaq RS Creates Buying Frenzy, Initial Batch Sells Out Within Minutes

Skoda has equipped the Kodiaq RS with several advanced technology and convenience features. The SUV includes a large 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.2-inch fully digital instrument cluster. The setup provides easy access to vehicle information and entertainment functions. To enhance the audio experience, Skoda has installed a 725-watt Canton sound system. The premium setup includes 13 speakers and a dedicated subwoofer.

Powering the Kodiaq RS is a 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. The engine produces 265 hp of maximum power and 400 Nm of peak torque, delivering strong performance. Skoda positions the RS as the most powerful version of the Kodiaq available in India. While the standard Kodiaq ranges from Rs 36.99 lakh to Rs 46.99 lakh (ex-showroom), industry estimates suggest the imported Kodiaq RS could be priced between Rs 55 lakh and Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom).
